Mark Richt, two Other Bulldogs to be Inducted Into Georgia Sports Hall of Fame

Legendary Georgia Football coach Mark Richt, along with two other notable Bulldogs have been selected as the next inductee's to the State of Georgia's Sports Hall of Fame

The University of Georgia has produced a plethora of outstanding athletes and figures for decades upon decades now. Many of who have been inducted into the Georgia sports Hall of Fame. Mark Richt, along with UGA tennis player Al Parker and Georgia Baseball coach Steve Webber will be the latest to join the elite company as they have been selected to be inducted as part of the hall's 2023 class.

Richt, who was selected to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame months ago, spent 15 seasons as the Bulldogs head coach where he led them to two SEC titles along with nine total bowl game victories. 

Webber, was the Bulldogs baseball coach for 16 seasons where he led the Bulldogs to an impressive 500 totals victories and a College World Series victory in 1990. He is the Bulldog's winningest baseball coach to date.

Parker, who is also no stranger to Hall of Fame's, as he was inducted into the collegiate tennis hall of fame in 2007. He was an outstanding tennis player for the Bulldogs in the late 80s to early 90s where he earned all American status. 

Other notable members to be inducted into this year's class include Braves outfielder Andruw Jones, former Atlanta Braves president Stan Kasten and two-sport professional athlete Ron Reed.
