Dylan Raiola to Transfer to Buford High School for Senior Season

The No. 1 player in the 2024 class, Dylan Raiola, plans to transfer to Buford High School for his senior season.

During the month of May, the Georgia football program landed one of its biggest recruits in history as the No. 1 player in America, Dylan Raiola, announced his commitment to Georgia. He has spent the last three seasons playing out West at three different high schools, and he will be adding a fourth to his resume as he now plans to play his senior high schools season in the state of Georgia at Buford High School.

The Buford Wolves are considered one of the best high school football programs in the state every single year, and now Raiola will be taking his talents to finish out his high school career in the same state that he will be playing his collegiate career in. If there were any concerns of Raiola potentially flipping his commitment at some point down the road, his family making a cross-country move for his senior season gives off the perception that he is 100 percent all Dawg.

Raiola is one of two quarterbacks committed to join Georgia's 2024 recruiting class, as Ryan Puglisi is also set to become a Bulldog when this year's class wraps up. Both quarterback prospects were invited out to LA to compete in this year's Elite 11 quarterback competition. It's exceptional for a program to land just one high-end prospect in a class, but the Bulldogs will be bringing in two immensely talented arms in this year's class.

The future Georgia quarterback will be teaming up with several Georgia targets at Buford high school as the Bulldogs have remained in heavy pursuit of safety KJ Bolden, the number one player at his position for the upcoming class. Raiola will also be playing with current Georgia 2025 commit Jadon Perlotte, a five-star linebacker.

Raiola has already taken on the role of helping Georgia's recruiting efforts since announcing his commitment, and with him moving into the state borders, he might be able to help Georgia land some more players within the peach state.
