Another class of former Bulldogs are making their long-time dreams of playing in the NFL a reality this weekend during the draft, and the most recent to do so is Warren McClendon who has been drafted by the Los Angeles Rams. McClendon served as the Bulldogs' starting right tackle in 2022 and earned first-team All-SEC honors.

At the NFL combine, McClendon measured in at 6-foot-4 and 306 pounds. He also was penciled in with 34 1/2" arms and 10" hands. During his last two years at Georgia, McCledon started in every single game for the Bulldogs at right tackle, and he started in nine of 10 games in 2020. A veteran SEC offensive lineman who brings a lot of experience with him to the professional level.

Coming out of high school, McClendon was rated as a four-star prospect and the 25th-best player in the state of Georgia. He was a part of the 2019 recruiting class and committed to the Bulldogs in the summer of 2018.

McClendon's teammate Broderick Jones was selected in the first round of the NFL draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jones and McClendon as a duo in college were tremendous in college and nearly helped Georgia take home the Joe Moore Award in 2022, which is annually given to the nation's best college offensive line unit. McClendon pieced together a very impressive college resume during his time in Athens, and now he will look to hold an NFL roster spot.

Georgia has created an NFL pipeline when it comes to offensive line talent as they have had four offensive linemen taken in the first round since 2017. McClendon may not have been a first-round talent, but he played a lot of high-quality football at Georgia, and that should help him out as he makes the transition to the NFL.
