Will Rogers Jokingly Compliments Georgia Football

Dawgs Daily is here in Nashville, Tennessee, for this week's slate of SEC Media Days. Coaches and players from all 14 teams in the conference will be taking the podium to speak about the upcoming season and to provide a glimpse of what this year has in store for their program prior to the 2023 college football season being kicked off.
During a media presser on Tuesday, Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers had the opportunity to speak on the Georgia Bulldogs football program, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. His compliment was quite humorous.
"Jalen Carter is pretty good. I mean, everybody on their defense is a 5-star or plays for the Eagles. So they're pretty good."
-Will Rogers
Rogers of course is alluding to the five players from the Bulldogs' 2021 and 2022 defenses that were eventually drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles, many of which he played during the 2022 season when the Bulldogs defeated Mississippi State in Starkville by a score of 45-19.
In a separate media presser, Rogers was also asked about his former teammate Rara Thomas, who transferred to the University of Georgia following the 2022 season, and if he had any advice for the Georgia quarterbacks who would be playing with the receiver for the 2023 season. Again, Rogers's answer was extremely complimentary and humorous.
"They've won the national championship the last two years, so maybe they can give me some advice."
-Will Rogers
During the 2022 season with Mississippi State, Thomas led the Bulldogs in receiving, earning 626 yards and seven touchdowns through the air. Georgia fans and coaches are hopeful that Thomas will be able to recreate his offensive success under Mike Bobo during the 2023 season.
