David Sanders Talks Being No. 1 Recruit, His Relationship with Georgia

The number one ranked prospect for the 2025 recruiting class, David Sanders, talks about what that experience has been like and his connections with Stacy Searels and Georgia.

College football programs still have some time before they really have to start focusing in on the 2025 recruiting class, but every school in the nation has already zeroed in on offensive lineman David Sanders out of Charlotte, NC. 

Sanders is rated number one player in the 2025 recruiting class, an obvious five-star prospect and a massive prospect both size and talent wise. Georgia is always looking to reel in the nation's best every single cycle and Sanders is without a doubt one of the players that the Bulldogs want to land in that 2025 class. 

We had the opportunity to talk with Sanders with the Under Armour Next event Series event in Calhoun, Georgia and he talked about the relationships he has built, potential visits that he is looking to take and his connection with Stacy Searels. 

One thing that Sanders really emphasized in his interview and his recruitment process was his family. He listed off several schools including Georgia who have built a good relationship with his family and he also went on to say that how his family feels about a school will definitely impact his decision when that time comes. Sanders said, "Whatever relationship you have with my family, you most likely have with me." 

Sanders did highlight that Georgia offensive line coach Stacy Searels has done a good job forming a relationship with both him and his family up to this point. He also mentioned that he is looking to take visits to Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Florida and South Carolin during this spring/summer but that it "still isn't 100% set yet." 

The North Carolina native said that he hopes to announce his commitment around this time next year, so there is still some time left in his recruiting but it sounds like Georgia is in a good position as for right now for one of the nation's best.
