JUST IN: Georgia Makes the Cut for Zion Ragins

Georgia makes the cut for one of the best 2024 WRs in Georgia.

Zion Ragins, a four-star WR out of Jones County (Ga.), is down to 12 teams. Georgia, Notre Dame, Western Kentucky, Cincy, Miami, Florida State, South Carolina, Penn State, Oklahoma, Colorado, Auburn, and Tennessee all made the cut.

The speedy receiver has been on UGAs radar for a few years now, first securing an offer from Georgia back in 2020. Up to this point, his recruitment has remained rather quiet, but he has visited Georgia in the past.

Ragins is arguably the fastest overall player in the 2024 class. The 5'8 speedster clocks in running a 4.2 40-yard dash and a 10.3 100 meter. Those numbers would make him one of if not the fastest player on UGA's team today.

Georgia has made a habit out of recruiting a speedster each year at the WR position, a trend we expect to continue under Mike Bobo's leadership at OC. Ragins is also extremely versatile and can take snaps at numerous different spots on the field.

As we said, his recruitment has been relatively quiet up to this point. However, UGA will have a strong chance to land Ragins if the Dawgs pursue. There is a relationship between Ragins and UGA dating back a few years. Not to mention, Ragins fits UGAs offensive identity perfectly.
