What's Next for Georgia Following Matt Zollers Commitment to Missouri

What is next for Georgia after 4-star Matt Zollers announced that he would be committing to the Missouri Tigers?

Spring-Ford, PA quarterback Matt Zollers has made his decision on his college commitment, choosing the Missouri Tigers over the Georgia Bulldogs, Pittsburgh Panthers, and Penn State Nittany Lions. With Zollers having been one of three quarterback targets in the 2025 recruiting class, we take a look at what is next for Georgia.

Julian Lewis, QB
It's certainly still an uphill battle for Georgia moving forward at the quarterback position, especially considering their remaining top target is still committed elsewhere. Julian Lewis has been committed to USC for nearly a full calendar year now and is fresh off a weekend-long visit to Los Angeles to visit with Lincoln Riley and his newly reformed coaching staff. Georgia will work extremely hard in the coming weeks to flip Julian Lewis into the 2025 class. They've remained vigilant in their efforts with the in-state product and will push considerably harder now that Zollers is seemingly out of the picture.

Ryan Montogomery, QB
It's presumed that Montogomery is set to choose between a plethora of SEC schools in the coming months. The 6'4 signal-caller out of Findlay, Ohio has been on the record about his admiration for what he calls the "best conference in all of football." So, whether it's South Carolina or Florida that seems to be in the lead for his services at the moment on the forefront, Georgia has always loomed as a strong possibility. Montgomery will be on campus this summer for an official visit and is certainly a viable option for the Bulldogs. Sources have indicated, that if made the top priority in this class at any moment, it's likely Montgomery would be a Bulldog.

Luke Nickel, QB
Yet another Power-4 commit elsewhere, Luke Nickel has pledged his services to the Miami Hurricanes. However, the Bulldogs have continued to evalutate the 4-star quarterback and 7-AAAAAAA state title winner. He's tremendous accurate, has proven that he's not only a great passer, but a tremendous winner in one of the toughest classifications in all of high school football.
