Georgia Tech Basketball Recruiting weekly recap: 7/16

Georgia Tech Basketball was busy on the offer trail this week

The summer is a big time for recruiting in college basketball, whether it is for the 2024 class or for the 2025 class. Georgia Tech head coach Damon Stoudamire was busy in the past week, adding another prospect to the 2023 class and sending out more offers for the future.

Georgia Tech does not have a commitment in the 2024 or 2025 class.

Let's recap the last week in Georgia Tech basketball recruiting.

1. Georgia Tech offers 2025 point guard Keyshaun Tillery

Tillery is an under-the-radar prospect from New Hampton High School (NH) in the 2025 class and picked up an offer from Stoudamire and the Yellow Jackets.

Other offers for Tillery include UMBC, Temple, Albany, St. Bonaventure, Washington, and Wyoming.

2. 2024 Four-star center Ethan Lathan receives an offer from Georgia Tech

Lathan is 6'10 190 LBS center prospect who plays at Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is rated as the 94th-best player in the country according to 247Sports and the 13th-best center in the country.

Other offers that Lathan holds include Dayton, Loyola (Chi), LSU, Missouri State, Old Dominion, UAB, and Virginia Tech.

3. 2024 Three-star center Cole Kirouac receives an offer from Georgia Tech

Kirouac (6'11 190 LBS) also has other offers from Boston University, Georgia, Georgia State, Loyola Maryland, Missouri, and Wyoming.

4. 2024 four-star combo guard Trent Perry receives an offer from Georgia Tech

Perry is one of the top players in the country in 2024. He is ranked as the No. 59 player on the 247Sports Composite, the No. 9 combo guard in the country, and the No. 6 player in California.

Perry also has other offers from Colorado, Saint Marys, USC, Vanderbilt, Cal, Louisville, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Stanford, TCU, and Virginia.

5. 2024 four-star forward Chase McCarty receives an offer from Georgia Tech

Chase McCarty is a four-star forward that plays at Westminister Christian Academy (AL) and he picked up an offer from the Yellow Jackets this past week.

McCarty is ranked as the No. 76 player in the country on the 247Sports Composite and the No. 1 player in Alabama. He also has offers from Kansas, Alabama, Cincinnati, Gonzaga, Houston, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, and Providence.

6. Georgia Tech lands 2023 prospect Ibrahima Sacko

Ibrahima Sacko, who is originally from Guinea but has prepped at J Addison in Ontario in Canada, committed to Georgia Tech, joining four-star forward Baye Ndongo as the two players in the class.

Sacko listed his top four schools last month. Georgia Tech beat out BYU, Oregon, and Xavier for Sacko.

Sacko is a 6''6 wing player that has a 7'1 wingspan. He is an intriguing athlete that brings a high upside to the Yellow Jackets, maybe as soon as this season. Stoudamire has helped develop NBA players while with the Boston Celtics and that could be a big thing in Georgia Tech's favor. He is also a solid rebounder.
