Report: Georgia Tech Guard Brandon Stores Has Entered The Transfer Portal

In this story:
The Yellow Jackets have lost another player from the 2025-2026 roster after Brandon Stores decided to enter the transfer portal. Stores played sparingly for the Yellow Jackets this past season, only registering one appearance against Bryant, where he played four minutes and recorded a rebound.

Stores is a former four-star guard from the tri-state area and was a top 100 national recruit coming out of high school. He made a lot of his name in the high school/AAU circuit, where he registered more than 2,000 points in his career with St.Raymond High School. Here is more on stores via his Georgia Tech bio.
“Rated a four-star big guard/small forward prospect by the 247Sports Composite and the sixth-best player in the state of New York … No. 88 national ranking by 247Sports and the No. 28 shooting guard prospect according to On3 … Also considered offers from Rutgers, George Mason, Syracuse, Washington and Xavier, according to 247Sports.”
“All-time scoring leader with more than 2,000 points and a four-year starter in an illustrious high school career at St. Raymond High School for Boys … As a senior, led the Ravens in scoring (20 ppg) and rebounding (6.3 rpg), as well as steals (1.7 pg) and blocked shots (1.4 pg) … Averaged 19.8 points per game as a sophomore and scored 18.2 points per game in 25 games as a junior … Led St. Raymond to the finals of the Catholic High School Athletic Association tournament as a senior, and to the semifinals as a junior."
What is next?
Thomas Dowd entered the transfer portal yesterday for Troy. The 6’8 junior forward averaged 14.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. He also got it done on the defensive side of the ball with 1.3 blocks and 1.2 steals. He is a player the Yellow Jackets could look to try to bring into the roster. They could also be after Victor Valdes, who was an impressive wing who also entered his name into the transfer portal. The biggest question moving forward is whether Akai Fleming and Jaeden Mustaf will follow suit and decide to enter the transfer portal. Both were the best players on the team this past season and had a big role in the offense. If they do decide to leave, who will head coach Scott Cross bring in to make up for their absences and be his guards of the future? That is something we will hopefully have the answer to next week.
