Updated ACC Standings Two Weeks From ACC Tournament

How does the ACC look two weeks away from the ACC Tournament?

We are just over two weeks from the ACC Tournament beginning on March 7th.

This past weekend saw North Carolina fall further in the bubble discussion and the preseason favorite might not even make the big dance. The Tar Heels lost to NC State on Sunday and could even risk losing their first-round bye in the ACC Tournament.

Georgia Tech was facing Division II opponent Florida Tech this weekend and did not have an opportunity to move up in the standings. The Yellow Jackets return to ACC action this Tuesday against Pitt.

Virginia (13-3) is now in first place in the ACC due to Pitt losing to Virginia Tech and the Cavs defeating Notre Dame. UVA remains 0.5 games ahead of Miami, who has won six straight after beating Wake Forest this past weekend. Miami (13-4) holds the tiebreaker over Virginia if it comes to that scenario.

The Panthers were in first place heading into the weekend, but a loss to the Hokies has Pitt in 3rd place after the weekend. Pitt hosts Georgia Tech tomorrow and needs a solid finish to the season.

NC State (11-6) and Duke (10-6) are next up and both were victorious over the weekend. NC State beat North Carolina and Duke beat Syracuse by 22 points.

Georgia Tech is 3-13 in ACC play this season

Wake Forest and Syracuse are both 9-7 and coming off of losses this weekend. Wake travels to NC State on Wednesday and Syracuse's heads to Clemson.

North Carolina is clinging to ninth place at 8-8 and faces Notre Dame on Wednesday.

The bottom of the ACC starts with Boston College (7-10), Virginia Tech (6-10), Florida State (6-11, Georgia Tech (3-13), Notre Dame (2-14), and Lousiville (2-14).

If the ACC Tournament started today, here is how the first round would look:

Boston College vs Louisville

Virginia Tech vs Notre Dame

Georgia Tech vs Florida State

If Georgia Tech were to defeat the Seminoles, they would face NC State in the next round. Tech could end up facing any of the teams above in the first round.
