ACC Football: Predictions for Every Week Ten Game

In this story:
It is now November in the ACC and the conference title race is heating up.
There are going to be big games in the conference every week from here on out and that starts this weekend.
Louisville and Virginia Tech is the headliner in the ACC this weekend that is a surprising thing to say, considering that Notre Dame and Clemson are on the schedule. The winner between the Hokies and the Cardinals will control their own destiny to get to the ACC title game.
Elsewhere around the conference, Florida State tries to avoid the upset trap at Pitt, and Miami and NC State play in a virtual elimination game against NC State.
I had a decent week in week nine, going 5-2 and putting my record at 55-17 this year. My misses were picking Duke over Louisville and Clemson over NC State.
Note: I will have a full breakdown and preview of Georgia Tech vs Virginia later this week.

Thursday, Nov. 2nd
Wake Forest at Duke (-12.5) (7:30 ESPN)
Duke has had a rough few weeks. Losing Riley Leonard to injury against Notre Dame led to subsequent losses to Florida State and Louisville and now, the Blue Devils are going to have a tough uphill battle to remain in ACC contention. They need a win against Wake Forest, a team that is struggling right now and coming off of a loss to Florida State. I think Duke gets a win, stays in ACC title contention and clinches bowl eligibility.
Final Score: Duke 28, Wake Forest 13
Friday, Nov. 3rd
Boston College at Syracuse (-2.5) (7:30 ESPN2)
Boston College is one win away from being bowl-eligible and they will just need to go on the road and get their fifth straight win to do it. Syracuse has had a rough four weeks, losing in blowout fashion to Clemson, North Carolina, Florida State, and Virginia Tech. The Eagles defeated UConn last week to get their fifth win and after being on the hot seat earlier in the year, Eagles head coach Jeff Hafley has rebounded and has this team playing well. I think Boston College wins this game and the wrong team might be favored here.
Final Score: Boston College 31, Syracuse 27
Saturday, Nov. 4th
Notre Dame (-3) at Clemson (12:00 ABC)
Earlier in the season, this was one of the headline games that everyone was looking forward to. Now, Clemson is just trying to fight for bowl eligibility and they will have a tough fight on their hands against Notre Dame and their defense. Clemson can win this game if they can cut down on the turnovers. I think this is going to be a low-scoring game and the Fighting Irish will win. It is just hard to trust Clemson right now.
Final Score: Notre Dame 24, Clemson 20
Campbell at North Carolina (12:00 ACC Network)
Not much to say about this game. North Carolina needs an easy win like this after losing to Virginia and Georgia Tech. The main thing for the Tar Heels is to come out of this game healthy and ready to face a stretch of Duke, Clemson, and NC State.
Final Score: North Carolina 45, Campbell 0
Florida State (-21.5) at Pitt (3:30 ESPN)
Florida State is the leader in the ACC and is close to clinching a spot in the ACC title game. They will have to navigate a road trip to Pitt, a team that lost by 50+ to Notre Dame last week. It has been a rough season for Pitt and they are unlikely to make a bowl game this season and it is tough to predict if they are going to quit on the season. The Panthers upset Louisville earlier this season, but I don't see that happening again.
Final Score: Florida State 42, Pitt 14
Virginia Tech at Louisville (-9.5) (3:30 ACC Network)
Virginia Tech has turned their season around and with just one conference loss, the Hokies have somehow found their way in the ACC title race. That could end quickly though this weekend as they head to Louisville to face the Cardinals. Louisville just dominated Duke and sits in a good spot in the ACC title race and I think that Jeff Brohm will have his team ready to go. I like what Brent Pry has done with Virginia Tech this season, but they are not ready for a game like this yet.
Final Score: Louisville 34, Virginia Tech 17
Miami (-4.5) at NC State (8:00 ACC Network)
This is a matchup of two teams that probably should have lost last weekend. NC State had 202 total yards in a win against Clemson and Miami was outgained by Virginia in their overtime win. Whoever gets the better quarterback play is going to win this game. MJ Morris and Tyler Van Dyke have been up and down and I think whoever can play the cleanest game will win. Watch out for NC State wide receiver Kevin Concepcion in this game too. I think Miami is the better team, but they could be looking ahead to their rivalry matchup with Florida State next week.
Final Score: Miami 24, NC State 10
