Everything From Dylan Leonard After Georgia Tech's Pro Day

Leonard participated in Georgia Tech's pro day today in front of numerous NFL scouts

Georgia Tech held its annual pro day today and the Yellow Jackets had eight players participating. One of the guys that was working out in front of NFL scouts today was tight end Dylan Leonard. Leonard caught 13 passes for 127 yards and one touchdown last season and showed off his receiving skills and blocking ability.

After pro day was over, Leonard spoke with the media and here is everything that he had to say:

1. On what it was like working out today...

"It felt goo. It was a long time coming, training for two and a half months leading to this point. I am trying to have as much fun with it as possible and onto the next thing.

2. On if he was looking to show the scouts anything specific today...

"Just wanted to show them that I can move well. At Tech I did a lot of blocking and I wanted to show that I can bend and run routes well and that is what I wanted to show scouts today."

3. On if it was fun having Luke Benson out there with him...

"Yeah, it was a little partner and crime for sure, me and Luke are really close and it took the nerves out of it a little bit, going through this whole process with him and it was an honor having him out here."

4. On how playing at Georgia Tech prepared him for the next level...

"Georgia Tech prepared me in a lot of ways, on and off the field, it makes you tough, that is what Georgia Tech does. You go through a lot of hardships at Tech, it is not an easy school and it puts you through a lot of challenges and it helps you."

5. On if he hit his goals during his workouts...

"Yeah, bench and vert was about what it was, I would have liked to run a little faster in the 40 but it is what it is. Yeah, everything else went about how I thought it was."

6. On what the next few weeks and months look like for him...

"Right now, the draft is late April so I will be here training at Tech getting ready for whatever city and team I have to go to at the end of April and be ready for rookie minicamp starting in May."

7. On if he relied on former teammates to get through the experience...

"I would say I learned a lot from (former Georgia Tech tight end) Tyler Davis. He went through this process four years ago and so I leaned on him heavy, he has a lot of experience, he just re-signed with the Packers so he obviously knows how to do things the right way. So, I leaned on him a lot for the interview process and what to look for, you know, just going through training, learning from him as much as I could and applied it and he has been a guy that I have relied on since I was here and that is continuing to the next step, definetly fortunate to have him in my corner."

8. On if it has hit him yet that he is one month from completing a goal...

"No doubt, my dad is freaking out more than I am, but yeah, you know it is a big change in life and a big step in the journey and I am looking forward to it, it has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid so it is awesome."
