Georgia Tech Keylan Rutledge Named A Top 50 Prospect In Daniel Jeremiah's Latest Rankings

In this story:
The NFL draft is a little less than a month away, and there is a name from Georgia Tech that is continuing to generate buzz as the draft inches closer.
Georgia Tech star offensive lineman and consensus All-American Keylan Rutledge has continued to rise up draft boards after a stellar pre-draft showing the past couple of months. On Monday, he was mocked to the Indianapolis Colts by ESPN Analyst Matt Miller.
Rutledge has caught the attention of another draft expert and media analyst who has been covering the sport for a long time in Daniel Jeremiah. Jeremiah put Rutledge into the top 50 prospects after being unrated prior to the draft process. Here is what Jeremiah had to say on Rutledge.
"Rutledge has excellent size and length for his position. He shows great awareness in the run game, fitting up consistently and straining to finish. He’s able to eliminate linebackers when he climbs to the second level. He sets a firm anchor in pass protection, as well. There’s a nastiness to his overall play demeanor, and it’s hard to find holes in his game. He plays with a lot of toughness and intensity, which will endear him to offensive line coaches. Rutledge should be a plug-and-play starter at guard in the NFL."
Why ranked so high?

There are a number of qualities that Rutledge possesses that have made him stand out from his versatility, how well he moves, and his sheer strength and power have been reasons Rutledge has stood out. The continued success of Rutledge and seeing him rise up draft boards has been a great sight for Georgia Tech, not only as a program, but also as a recruiting piece. Rutledge transferred in from Middle Tennessee State and spent the final two years of his career with the Yellow Jackets. This past season, he was named first-team All-ACC among many other accolades for the offensive lineman.
Rutledge was so good that he was rated as the No.5 guard in the nation overall and as a run blocker. He finished with a 76.6 overall grade and a 77.1 run block grade. He was also the 12th-best guard in pass protection this past season. He is an instant plug-and-play guy at the next level and has a chance to become a Pro Bowler if developed in the right system and playing for the right coach. Rutledge is a player that many teams in the NFL are going to wish they took in the draft years from now.
