Updated ACC Standings: Georgia Tech in Fourth Place Heading Into November

Georgia Tech got their third ACC win of the season against North Carolina on Saturday

Another wild weekend in the ACC Championship race has shaken up the conference standings.

Georgia Tech shocked North Carolina on Saturday night and put a big dent in their hopes of making the ACC title game. That win has the Yellow Jackets at 3-2 in the conference and in fourth place behind Florida State, Louisville, and shockingly enough, Virginia Tech. Brent Key and Georgia Tech travel to Virginia on Saturday to try and earn their fifth win of the season.

FSU routed Wake Forest on Saturday and the Seminoles are getting closer to clinching a spot in the ACC Championship game. Their remaining ACC schedule is Pitt and Miami.

Louisville shut down the Duke offense and rebounded after their loss to Pitt. The Cardinals now sit in a good position to try and make the conference title game, but a big game against Virginia Tech awaits.

The Hokies have rebounded nicely after a tough start to the season. They have not beaten anyone of note, but the team looks better with Kyron Drones at quarterback and a lot of credit should be given to Brent Pry. If they can find a way to win against Louisville, they will control their own destiny to get to the ACC title game.

Duke, Miami, Boston College, and NC State are all 2-2 and have big hills to climb if they want to get in the conference title picture. Duke might be too injured at this point. Miami and NC State play each other this weekend and the loser is all but eliminated from the ACC title picture. Boston College faces Syracuse.

It is shocking to see Clemson at 2-4 in ACC play, but that is where the Tigers are after another loss, this time to NC State.

Pitt and Virginia are 1-3. Virginia took Miami to the wire this weekend, while Pitt was obliterated by Notre Dame.

Wake Forest is 1-4, while Syracuse remains winless in the ACC.
