Could Drew Timme win NBA championship in rookie year with Milwaukee? Latest betting odds favor Bucks

The Damian Lillard trade has shifted the odds

Drew Timme is hoping to carve out a role with the Milwaukee Bucks in his rookie season.

After signing an Exhibit 10 contract with the Bucks it's likely Timme will spend most of the season with the Wisconsin Herd, Milwaukee’s G-League affiliate. If he plays well - or if a roster spot opens up for a big man - Timme could play a role for the Bucks.

And he could win an NBA championship.

After the Bucks stunned the NBA by trading for Damian Lillard earlier this week, they have suddenly became the favorites to win the 2024 NBA championship.

The Bucks - who will likely feature a starting lineup of Lillard, Khris Middleton, Jae Crowder, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez - have the best odds to win the title at +375. The defending champion Denver Nuggets have the second-best odds at +425.

Antetokounmpo is also now the favorite to win the NBA MVP at +450.

Timme is hoping to become the fourth Gonzaga men's basketball player to win an NBA championship. Adam Morrison won two rings with the Los Angeles Lakers (2009, 2010), Ronny Turiaf won one with the Miami Heat in 2012 and Austin Daye won a title with the San Antonio Spurs in 2014.
