Dan Dickau analyzes Gonzaga's NET Ranking as NCAA Tournament draws closer

Gonzaga improved its NET Ranking with a 77-72 win over San Francisco

As March draws closer, talk of the almighty NET Rankings begins to dominate the college basketball world.

The primary evaluation tool for the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee, the NET plays a major role in deciding which teams go dancing and which have their postseason hopes crushed.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs currently are walking a fine line between both realities, as they sit 28th in the NET and without a Quad 1 win on their resume. Saint Mary's leads the West Coast Conference in the NET at 18th amid a 6-0 start to league play and as winners of 11 of the past 12 games. It's not a foregone conclusion that only one will represent the conference in the NCAA Tournament. Still, it's looking more and more likely when also looking at just how bad the WCC was in November and December.

Former Gonzaga All-American Dan Dickau broke down where each WCC team stood in the NET Rankings and what the league's contenders must do to keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive on a new episode of the Gonzaga Nation podcast.
