Gonzaga Bulldogs vs. Portland Pilots: Latest betting odds for WCC men's basketball game

Bulldogs listed as 26.5-point favorites over the Pilots

The Gonzaga Bulldogs enter Wednesday's West Coast Conference matchup with Portland as the heavy favorites at home.

Gonzaga (16-6, 7-2 WCC) looks to bounce back from its 64-62 loss to Saint Mary's on Saturday. After a hot start out of the gate, the Bulldogs couldn't keep the pace in the second half, going 9-for-27 from the field and missing seven of its last 10 shot attempts, while the Gaels seized momentum with an 8-0 scoring run to take a 60-55 lead with 2:37 left. Augustus Marciulionis nailed a clutch (and controversial) 3-pointer to make it a 63-57 game with 37 seconds left, as Gonzaga faltered down the stretch and now sit two games back of its WCC rival for first place in the league standings.

The Bulldogs pace the WCC in scoring (84.2 points, 15th in NCAA Division-I), field goal percentage (50.5%, fifth nationally), scoring margin (16.5, ninth nationally) and rebounds per game (40.6). Gonzaga is 11-0 when it scores 80 or more points this season and 5-6 when it doesn't reach the 80-point mark.

Ryan Nembhard averages a WCC-best 5.8 assists and has the best assist:turnover ratio in the league at 2.54. Graham Ike is fourth in the conference with 15.3 points per game and is second in field goal percentage (60.4%). Anton Watson isn't far behind, as he averages 14.5 points on 59.8% shooting.

Portland (9-15, 3-6 WCC) snapped a six-game losing streak with a pair of wins over Pacific and Pepperdine last week. The Pilots, who lead the WCC in 3-pointers made per game (9.1), knocked down 16 triples in the 93-89 victory over the Waves. Tyler Robertson (16.5 points per game, second in the WCC) led with 24 points.

Vukasin Masic, a 6-foot-5 sophomore, adds 13.2 points and knocks down 41.7% of his 3-point attempts. Freshman guard Tyler Harris puts up 11.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game for Portland. Juan Sebastian Gorosito is averaging 19.7 points over his last three games.

Portland has covered in its last three games and is 10-12 ATS overall this season, though it has failed to cover in seven of eight road games as the underdog. The Pilots are 3-4 ATS after a win. The 26.5-point spread is the largest Portland has faced this season.

Portland is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 matchups against Gonzaga, which hasn't covered a 20+ point spread in the head-to-head series since 2018 (Gonzaga -30.0). The Bulldogs managed to cover both spreads in the two meetings last season.
