Gonzaga-UConn matchup set for 2024 in Madison Square Garden

Bulldogs and Huskies concluded two-year home-and-home series on Dec. 14, 2024

The Gonzaga Bulldogs and UConn Huskies will take center stage when they face off at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 14 in the Hall of Fame Series in New York City.

The nonconference matchup at the "World's Most Famous Arena" is the second of a two-year home-and-home series. Gonzaga and UConn met last December at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, where the defending national champions downed the Zags, 76-63. Dan Hurley and Mark Few also met in last season's Elite Eight in Las Vegas, where the Huskies won 82-54 on their way to the program's fifth national championship.

Gonzaga has had some memorable (and less memorable) moments at Madison Square Garden over the years. In 2006, it knocked off No. 2 North Carolina in the NIT Season Tip-Off before falling to Butler in the title game. The Bulldogs got dropped by 35 points to Duke in 2009 at MSG, which is also where Adam Morrison got his first start in 2003.

The Bulldogs are 3-5 all-time at Madison Square Garden after an 88-72 loss to Villanova in 2017.

Head-to-head, UConn has won five of seven meetings against Gonzaga. The Bulldogs last beat the Huskies in the 2015-16 season when the two met at the Battle 4 Atlantis event.

Tickets for the Hall of Fame Series will be available in May. Game time and TV broadcast details will also be announced at a later date.
