'He's a lock Hall of Famer': Former Gonzaga star Jeff Brown on Mark Few's evolution as a coach

Jeff Brown transferred to Gonzaga when Mark Few was an assistant coach under Dan Fitzgerald

Over the course of his 25 years at the helm of Gonzaga men's basketball, Mark Few has transformed what was once a middling mid-major program into a household name across the college basketball world.

Holding just about every notable head coaching record in the West Coast Conference, Few has the highest winning percentage of any head coach all-time and has led the Zags to the NCAA Tournament every season since he took over as head coach in 1999. He's been named the Associated Press Coach of the Year (2017) and the Naismith Coach of the Year (2017, 2021) as well.

Accolades and numbers aside, Few has adapted to the new era of college athletics as well as any coach in America. From standing in front of Congress to push Name, Image and Likeness opportunities to granting more freedom to his players, former Gonzaga players have noted Few's evolution over the years and claim it as a big reason why the Bulldogs have become a powerhouse in college basketball.

Former Gonzaga standout Jeff Brown (1991-94) explained how Few has changed his approach from when he was an assistant coach to now one of the game's most successful head coaches on a new episode of Talking Zags.
