Bulldogs look for their fifth-straight win against the Pilots

The Gonzaga Bulldogs hit the road for a West Coast Conference tilt with the Portland Pilots on Thursday.

Gonzaga (20-6, 10-2 WCC) rides a four-game win streak after taking down Pacific, 102-76, at home on Saturday. Graham Ike led with 21 points, Ryan Nembhard recorded his second-consecutive double-double and the Bulldogs shot a season-high 66.1% from the field to clinch its 27th straight 20-win season, the second-longest active streak in the country.

Ike has scored 20 or more points in seven of the last 10 games. The 6-foot-9 post is averaging 16.6 points in WCC games, fourth-best in the league, and paces Gonzaga on the season at 15.8 points.

Nembhard was named WCC Player of the Week and became the first Bulldogs player to record 10 or more assists in consecutive games since Derek Raivio in the 2004-05 season. The junior paces the league with 6.1 assists, making him just the third Zag since 2007 to post at least six assists per game.

Portland (9-19, 3-10 WCC) has lost four in a row following a 91-70 letdown at Pepperdine on Saturday. Tyler Robertson led with 23 points and seven rebounds while Vukasin Masic added 17, though it wasn't enough as the Waves shot 61.7% from the field and made 15 3-pointers.

Robertson paces the Pilots with 16.1 points per game, second-most in the WCC, and dishes out 3.5 assists per game. Freshman forward Tyler Harris has missed five of the last six games due to injury and was not available in the first meeting with the Bulldogs on Feb. 7 in Spokane. Harris adds 12.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.

Gonzaga has won 16 straight over Portland and is 41-6 all-time in the series. Braden Huff led with 25 points and Anton Watson had 20 in the Bulldogs' 96-64 win in the first meeting of the season.
