The 2024 NCAA Tournament comes to Spokane this weekend and the action will get started on Friday when (5) San Diego State takes on (12) UAB in the opening round.

This matchup will be airing exclusively on TNT but you can stream this game live on FuboTV (Start your free trial).

San Diego State (24-10, 11-7 Mountain West) earned a No. 5 seed in this year's tournament and will be looking to recreate its magical run from last year when the Aztecs were also seeded fifth but turned that into a run all the way to the national championship game.

Last year's runner-up returns some of its key players, but the Aztecs come into this matchup on a slide after losing three of their previous five games.

Jaedon LeDee has been their best player this year, averaging team-highs of 21.1 ppg and 8.4 rpg.

UAB (23-11, 12-6 American) landed a No. 12 seed after finishing the season on a five-game win streak that culminated in the Blazers steamrolling Temple in the AAC championship game.

Yaxel Lendeborg is the driving force for the Blazers on both sides of the ball. He leads the team in points (13.9 ppg) and rebounds (10.7 rpg), is tied for fifth nationally with 19 double-doubles, and was recently named the AAC Defensive Player of the Year after racking up 72 blocked shots (2.1 bpg) this season.

The winner of this game will advance to the second round on Sunday where they will take on the winner of (4) Auburn vs. (13) Yale.
