In this story:

Former Gonzaga men's basketball star Kelly Olynyk looks to help lead Canada to the top of the Group H standings on Tuesday when the NBA-loaded Canadian men's national team takes on Latvia in Jakarta, Indonesia, at the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

The Canadians dominated in their 30-point rout against France to open the tournament, before a 44-assist performance in a win against Lebanon guaranteed them a spot in the second round. With All-NBA guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leading the way, Olynyk is the second-leading scorer on a team that features seven NBA players.

Through two games, Olynyk averaged 15.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists. He also shot 66.7% from the field.

Latvia pulled off one of the biggest upsets in the tournament on Sunday with a victory over France. After trailing by as many as 13 points, the Latvians stormed back to lead their only lead of the ballgame with 30 seconds left.
