Gonzaga has received a commitment from former Creighton guard Ryan Nembhard, according to ESPN. Nembhard picked Gonzaga over Arizona, Alabama and UCF.

Ranked as the No. 2 point guard in the college basketball transfer portal according to ESPN, Nembhard immediately bolsters Gonzaga's backcourt as one of the top guards returning to college basketball next season.

Nembhard averaged 12.1 points and 4.8 assists in 37 starts while leading the Bluejays to the Elite Eight this past season. He put up a career-high 30 points in a second-round win over Baylor when he shot 4-for-6 from 3-point range.

Nembhard has started every game of his two-year college career, with back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances and a controversial call away from advancing to last season's Final Four.

The younger brother of ex-Zag Andrew Nembhard, Ryan chose his brother's alma mater after visiting Gonzaga's campus last week. Nembhard also visited with Arizona and Tommy Lloyd, who was an assistant for the Zags when he convinced Andrew to come to Spokane in 2020.

"Of course my brother had been telling me for years what a great coach Mark [Few] was," Ryan Nembhard said to ESPN. "And it's obvious Andrew was well prepared for the NBA by Coach Few and all the staff at Gonzaga the two years he was there; he started more games this year as a rookie than any other Pacers rookie has started in over 20 years."

Nembhard is Mark Few's second transfer portal addition of the day, as Wyoming's Graham Ike also committed to bolster the frontcourt.
