WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Good morning from Indiana as I'm LOOKING LIVE...from Ross-Ade Stadium as Illinois (3-4, 1-3 in Big Ten) plays at Purdue (2-5, 1-3) for an 11 a.m. kickoff. Illinois, which is a nine-point road underdog today is obviously coming off arguably the biggest upset in the 2019 college football season. Illinois will face the Big Ten's best passing attack under head coach Jeff Brohm.

We're a few hours away from game time with weather conditions via in West Lafayette calling for non-stop rain showers and colder temperatures.

Injury Update: Illinois quarterbacks just came on the field for pre-game warm-ups and no surprise but Isaiah Williams is not on the field. The freshman was not active for practice Tuesday.

- I'm also not seeing junior wide receiver Ricky Smalling (lower body) during pre-game warmups. Without the services of Smalling,

Illinois officials announce: DE Oluwole Betiku Jr., WR Ricky Smalling, QB Isaiah Williams and DB Delano Ware are out with injuries.

- Lots of people dressed up as empty seats today at Ross-Ade Stadium but judging by the weather conditions and early kickoff time, nobody can blame them.

Illinois wins the toss and defers to second half. It'll be the Illini defense vs. Jack Plummer and Jeff Brohm's offensive play-calling to start this game.

Illinois starts Tony Adams at cornerback today. Lovie Smith said they're not tinkering for that move.

11:04 left in 1st - No score: Purdue freshman defensive end George Karlaftis just bull-rushed Illini OT Alex Palczewski all the way to the quarterback for a sack.

9:28 left in 1st - No score: Illinois defensive Sydney Brown already with four solo tackles as he's doing a great job securing the edge vs. the Purdue run game. Boilermakers go three-and-out.

8:21 left in 1st - No score: Illinois finding it difficult to run on Purdue's three-man front as the LBs are playing downhill. Purdue will have the ball at its own 42-yard-line.

6:18 left in 1st - No score: Illinois stops buying the play-action fakes to Alexander Horvath and Purdue is forced to punt after two incomplete passes.

5:01 left in 1st - No score: Solid runs by Dre Brown and Reggie Corbin thanks to great zone-blocking by the Illini OL.

2:47 left in 1st - Illinois 3, Purdue 0 - ILLINI FG -  57 of the 67-yard drive came from Dre Brown on the ground. James McCourt nails a 38-yard field goal to get the Illini on the board.

0:42 left in 1st - Illinois 3, Purdue 0 - Purdue going to a little more tempo and the Illini LBs seem confused and unable to handle the switch. Kenyon Jackson needing help from Illini training staff to get off the field. Appears like possibly a right leg injury.

9:58 left in 2nd: Illinois 10, Purdue 0 - ILLINI TD - And there's your Lovie Smith defensive touchdown. Tony Adams steps right in front of a Jack Plummer pass for a 13-yard interception return for a score.

Same concept on Adams' interception against Wisconsin last weekend. He read Plummer's eyes and got off his man to jump in front of the inside slot receiver. Lovie Smith's move of the junior DB to cornerback is really paying off.

8:19 left in 3rd: Illinois 17, Purdue 0 - Rain getting worse here as Purdue continues to attack the perimeter with its short passing game.

6:51 left in 3rd: Illinois 17, Purdue 0 - Mistakes continue to haunt Purdue as punter nearly misses the ball completely for a 15-yard boot. Purdue averaging 2.3 yards per play.
