WATCH: Ohio State Fan Collides With Iowa's Caitlin Clark During Court Storm

After No. 18 Ohio State upset No. 2 Iowa, Buckeyes fans stormed the floor in Columbus. A scary moment occurred after the game, with a fan colliding with Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark, sending the reigning National Player of the Year to the floor.

A scary moment unfolded on Sunday afternoon following No. 18 Ohio State's upset over No. 2 Iowa. A Buckeyes fan who stormed the court after the victory collided with Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark, sending both individuals to the floor.

Ohio State recorded a 100-92 overtime win over Iowa on Sunday in Columbus, resulting in a court storming. One fan who ran on the floor while holding a phone collided with Clark. The Hawkeyes star was on the floor for a period of time before eventually get helped to the locker room.

Video of the incident can be seen below:

In the post-game press conference, Clark said she was fine. She also said Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith apologized after the collision.

"Yeah, I'm OK, I think," she said. "Great environment. These are the games you love to play in. 18,000 people here. I can see them storming the court, which is totally fine. Good for their students and great win for them. I was just trying to exit the court as quickly as possible so I started running and I was absolutely just hammered by somebody trying to run onto the court and basically blindsided.

"Kinda scary, could've caused a pretty serious injury to me. Knocked the wind out of me, but luckily my teammates picked me up and got me off the court.

Iowa coach Lisa Bluder referred to the incident as "disappointing" multiple times during the press conference.

"You know, it's unfortunate the game ended that way and Caitlin gets taken out on the floor," Bluder said. "Gets some inappropriate words yelled at her by fans, by students. That just should not happen. It should not happen. Our players should be safe, they should be able to walk off the floor. That's very disappointing.

"I think Ohio State, great team, great environment, but obviously disappointed with the post-game, our players getting injured trying to walk out of the gym. That's wrong."

Just two weeks ago, Purdue coach Matt Painter called on the Big Ten to be better prepared for court storms. He made the comment after Nebraska's fans stormed the floor following an 88-72 upset win over the Boilermakers.

"Someone's gonna get hurt. It's gonna be a student. Could be one of Nebraska's guys, could be one of our guys, could be someone working the scorer's bench," he said. "Could be anybody. But like, I don't know why people don't get ahead of it. It's happened a lot and I just don't understand that."

After Sunday's situation, the Big Ten might heed Painter's advice.

Clark scored 45 points, dished seven assists and grabbed three rebounds in Iowa's loss. Ohio State's Cotie McMahon ended the game with 33 points and 12 rebounds.
