Christian Hudson seeks stability in his search for a college home. The Class of 2025 defensive lineman prefers not having to stress out about a staff leaving during his time there.

During an unofficial visit to Iowa Football on Friday, the Florida native's mind was put at ease when he learned more about the Hawkeyes. He could feel a strong foundation.

"I liked how the coaching staff has been together for so long," he told HN. "The overall feeling of being there is great."

Hudson scheduled an Iowa official visit for June 21. He's also set up officials to Central Florida (May 31) and Maryland (June 13).

Iowa State played host to Hudson (6-2, 270) on Saturday. He visited Ames in November.

In addition to the aforementioned programs, Hudson reports scholarship offers from Indiana, Louisville, Penn State, West Virginia and others.

According to Max Preps, Hudson recorded 69.0 tackles (39 solo, 27.0 for loss) as a junior for Dayton Beach Mainland High last fall. He also registered 9.0 sacks, 3 passes defended, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery.

The Hawkeyes like the production and the game film that matches it. He is a relentless force in the middle of the defensive line and also shows an aptitude for serving up pancakes as an offensive lineman.

"They said they love how aggressive I am and how I’m able to dominate so fluently on both sides of the ball," he said of what he's heard from the Iowa coaches.

Hudson is soaking in all of the information and strengthening bonds with the schools showing him the most interest. Iowa is firmly in the mix.

"I’m feeling great about the Hawkeyes," he said.

Academics will be an important component in his final decision. He's planning on majoring in Sports Management.
