Iowa Football is looking high and low for wide receiver help. It's shopping in the portal for immediate assistance. It's hitting up the high schools for the future.

Position coach Kelton Copeland stopped by Nashville (TN) Father Ryan on Tuesday. The Hawkeyes later offered junior wideout Charlie Becker a scholarship.

"He came to spring practice, saw me ball out and told me to call him after practice was over," Becker told HN about how he learned of the offer.

The Hawkeyes joined Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Memphis, Indiana and others in offering Becker (6-3, 190). He's visited Duke, Vanderbilt, Kentucky and Alabama. He's expected to see Iowa soon.

"I plan on taking a visit this summer," he said.

On3 and 247Sports rank Becker as a three-star prospect. The former sees him as the No. 123 receiver nationally for '24, while the latter puts him at 109 for the cycle.

Copeland told Becker he likes his length and speed.

"Since I’ve been in the lab, my routes are becoming very crisp," he said.

Becker has been admiring the Hawkeyes from Tennessee for awhile.

"I love Iowa's culture, the die-hard fans that come in full support and the coaching staff is loyal," he said.

Becker plans on majoring in Business when he gets to college.
