Mike Koszewski

Koszewski comes to Kansas as a redshirt sophomore after spending some time with Cincinnati and Wabash Valley College. Koszewski had a tremendous 2022 season for Wabash Valley College as he played in 67 games posting a slash line of .420/.531/.571 with three home runs, 56 RBIs, 75 runs, and 26 stolen bases. He was listed on the top 50 JUCO transfer list coming in at No. 20 by D1baseball.com.

Michael Brooks

Brooks comes to Kansas as a redshirt sophomore after spending some time at Arkansas and most recently, UCF. Brooks played as a redshirt freshman at UCF, where he started 52-out-of-58 games playing most of his time at third base. He logged a slash line of .261/384/.438 and recorded 45 hits, six doubles, two triples, seven home runs, nine stolen bases, and 33 walks.

Jackson Cobb

Cobb comes to Kansas after spending time at Arkansas, Texas Tech, and most recently Crowder Community College. In 2022 for Crowder Community College, Cobb posted a slash line of .360/.458/.547 while recording 58 hits, 12 doubles, three triples, four home runs, 49 RBIs, 49 runs, and 12 stolen bases in 50 games. Coach Fitzgerald had this to say about Cobb, "Jackson played big-time defense for us this fall and showed a plus-plus ability to compete. He's an elite runner and can handle the bat. He's a winner and will be a big piece of our equation both offensively and in the middle of the field."

Jake English

English returns to the Jayhawks as a redshirt sophomore. In the 2021-22 season, he played in 26 games logging 71 at-bats while collecting 18 hits, five doubles, eight walks, and seven RBIs.

Trevor Kardell

Kardell, who also plays football for the Jayhawks, is returning as a redshirt sophomore at first base. In 2022 he was behind both Nolan Metcalf and Cooper McMurray, so Kardell was limited to one game in the 2022 season.

Sam Hunt

Hunt transfers to Kansas after spending a season with another Big 12 school, the Texas Tech Red Raiders. He played in 22 games, starting 13 all in centerfield. Hunt showed he can hit the baseball when given the opportunity, and it was on display in 2022. He posted a slash line of .348/.475/.457 and recorded 16 hits, five doubles, 13 RBIs, and 12 runs. Coach Fitzgerald said this about Hunt, "Sam will be a big piece of our equation this spring. His versatility defensively gives us some great lineup options. Sam is a high-end competitor and a great addition to our program."

Jacob Dillon

Dillon signed with the Jayhawks in 2021 out of Olathe North in Olathe, Kansas. He decided to redshirt his freshman season. In 2022 as a redshirt freshman, Dillon appeared in six games coming out of the bullpen. He looks to continue improving and anticipates working out of the bullpen this coming season.

Devin Neal

Neal is well known around Lawrence, Kansas for his ability to run the football for the Jayhawks football program, but he is also a very talented baseball player. Neal was ranked the No. 2 outfielder in the state of Kansas by Perfect Game and Prep Baseball Report. In 2022, Neal appeared in seven games, starting one in leftfield while he logged six at-bats and drew three walks.

Tyler Gerety

Gerety will start his sophomore season with Kansas after playing 28 games for the Jayhawks in 2022. He started five games playing three in left field and two in center field. He recorded a slash line of .192/.276/.192 and 12 runs. Before Kansas, he was ranked the No. 3 shortstop in Kansas and the No. 10 overall player in Kansas by Prep Baseball Report.

Luke Leto

Leto will be heading into his sophomore season at Kansas after transferring from LSU with head coach Dan Fitzgerald. Leto played in 13 games for the Tigers but only recorded one start at first base. When it comes to a position, he offers up a lot of versatility as he is listed as an INF/OF on the Jayhawks roster. Leto swings the bat very well, and so far in the fall, we have seen that. In the scrimmage against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Leto went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs, and against Dallas Baptist, he recorded two hits, a walk, an RBI, and a run. His ability to play multiple positions indicates his athletic ability.

Steven Andrews

Andrews begins his sophomore season with the Jayhawks after appearing in 14 games for the Jayhawks in 2022. The right-handed pitcher posted a record of 1-2, logging 26 innings, five walks, and 24 strikeouts. He led the Jayhawks with a 4.8 strikeout/walk ratio.

Chase Jans

Jans starts his sophomore season with the Jayhawks after playing in 33 games (20 starts-16 center field, four in right field) in 2022. Jans posted a slash line of .194/.231/.371 and recorded 12 hits, one triple, three home runs, five RBIs, ten runs, three walks, and three stolen bases. Before Kansas, Jans was ranked the No. 1 outfielder in Kansas during 2021 and was the No. 4 overall player in Kansas by Perfect Game. He also played for the Kansas City Royals Scout Team.

Gavin Brasosky

Brasosky comes to Kansas after spending his freshman season with the Tennessee Volunteers. In 2022 he posted a record of 1-0, throwing 4.1 innings, three walks, and six strikeouts in five appearances. Before college Brasosky was a three-time Perfect Game Preseason All-American.

Stone Evers

Evers, a right handed pitcher, starts his sophomore season after appearing in five games for the Jayhawks in 2022. His first career appearance came against Missouri, and retired the only batter he faced.
