Kentucky's football season will come down to how well Brock Vandagriff plays

The Kentucky football season is right around the corner, and the coaching staff is primed to lead this team to a successful year.

During the offseason the Wildcats lost their offensive coordinator as Liam Coen left to be the OC with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Coach Mark Stoops went on to hire former Boise State offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan, and it seems to be a home run so far.

While the coaching staff did a great job in the transfer portal the 2024 season will all come down to how good Brock Vandagriff can be for the Wildcats.

Vandagriff started his college football career at Georgia as he was a former five-star but never was able to carve out a role in Athens. He then decided to hit the portal and ended up in Lexington. Since we didn't see all that much of Vandagriff during his time playing for the Bulldogs, Big Blue Nation doesn't have a lot to base his season on.

The reports from spring practice have been positive, and it sounds like he has been throwing the football well. The coaching staff brought in a bunch of talented offensive weapons, which will hopefully help the Wildcat's new quarterback to throw to some open receivers.

The national media is struggling to project this Kentucky team because Vandagriff is such a wildcard, but he has a ton of raw talent that, hopefully, the staff will be able to get out of him.

Kentucky has a challenging 2024 schedule, but if Vandagriff has a good season, this team can have another seven+ win season.
