Two stock risers from Kentucky basketballs win over Texas A&M-Commerce

In this story:
The Kentucky Wildcats were able to beat Texas A&M-Commerce by 20 points after going down by 13 points early in the first half.
It was good to see the Cats get punched in the mouth early in this game but still rebound for a commanding win.
Kentucky will likely be punched in the mouth early against the #1 Kansas Jayhawks, so seeing this happen before that game is good for the true freshman.
The older guys stepped up big time in a game where only seven players got playing time.
Winning a game by 20 points where you were down big early will serve the Cats well down the road, and Coach Cal said this in his post-game press conference.
Which two Kentucky players raised their stock in the win over the Texas A&M-Commerce Lions?
Antonio Reeves
All it took for the Cats to get going against Texas A&M-Commerce was Antonio Reeves starting to fill up the stat sheet. Reeves finished this ball game with 21 points, which led all scorers. He was 8-14 from the field and 5-8 from beyond the arc. Reeves also added six rebounds and two assists to the stat line. Kentucky will need Reeves to shoot the ball this well against Kansas if the Cats want to hang around in this ball game.
Tre Mitchell
Tre Mitchell didn't score a ton against New Mexico State but changed that against Texas A&M-Commerce. The West Virginia transfer scored 18 points and was 8-11 from the field while going 1-2 from deep. Mitchell also led the game in rebounds with eight. Mitchell will have to play well down low against Kansas as he will be defending one of the best bigs in all of college hoops. Hopefully, playing well against the Lions will help Mitchell have some confidence defending Hunter Dickinson down low on Tuesday.
