Kentucky Briefing: Justin Edwards has been given good odds to win the Wooden Award
As we inch closer and closer to the start of the 2023-24 college basketball season, betting odds are coming out for who will win the Wooden Award.
Kentucky had a player win the Wooden Award recently as Big O Oscar Tshiebwe won it in 2022.
Now the Cats have another player who have a shot to win the award as Justin Edwards has been given the 11th best odds to win in all of college hoops.
Edward's odds are +5000 behind players like Zach Edey (+155) and Hunter Dickinson (+750).
He had a really good outing at the Blue-White game, putting up a whole bunch of points in front of Big Blue Nation.
If Edwards has the freshman season, everyone thinks he will watch out because he truly could win the Wooden Award.
We wrote it
I wrote about the stats from the Blue-White scrimmage where Rob Dillingham put on a show.
"The Blue-White game was on Saturday, which means Kentucky fans got to see this team scrimmage against one another, and the scoreboard was lit up."
"We didn't get to see any of the Kentucky big men as Zvonimir Ivisic is dealing with some cramping issues, and Aaron Bradshaw and Ugonna Onyenso are still coming back from their injuries."
