LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The 2022-23 season for the Louisville women's basketball program might have been a bit underwhelming at times by their typically lofty standards, but it was still one that saw them experience a fair amount of success.

The Cardinals sport an overall record of 23-11, marking the first time since the 2011-12 season that they have collected double-digit losses. However, that also came with an appearance in the ACC Championship game, and a handful of solid wins along the way.

With a ranking of No. 20 in the NCAA Evaluation Tool, or NET - a metric that the the NCAA Tournament selection committee uses in part when determining the tournament field - Louisville is a stone cold lock to make the Big Dance when Selection Sunday rolls around in a few days. The only remaining question is who against, and where exactly, the Cards will be kicking off their NCAA Tournament run.

Fortunately, bracketology is in full swing with less than a week to go until the Field of 68 is revealed, so we have some idea as to what Louisville's NCAA Tournament draw will be.

The most noteworthy and well-respected women's basketball bracketologist, ESPN's Charlie Creme, has the Cardinals as a No. 5 seed against No. 12 Portland in Austin, Tex. in his most recent update. As the city implies, this matchup is up against No. 4 Texas vs. No. 13 Illinois State. The top three seeds in Louisville's region are Stanford, Iowa and Duke.

College Sports Madness has a friendlier draw for the Cardinals in their March 6th update. They project Louisville as a No. 4 seed - which would give them hosting rights for the first and second round - and pit them against No. 13 Illinois State. They also have No. 5 Iowa State vs. No. 12 South Dakota State in the KFC Yum! Center, with the top three seeds in the region being Indiana, Iowa and Duke.

Both CBS and Just Women's Sports posted just their projected seeds when they released their respective updates earlier this week. CBS has Louisville as a No. 7 seed, while Just Women's Sports has them as a No. 5 seed.

The Selection Show for the women's basketball NCAA Tournament is set for Sunday, Mar. 12 at 8:00 p.m. EST on ESPN.
