LOUISVILLE, Ky. - After nearly pulling off a massive upset on the road against No. 19 Miami, the Louisville men's basketball program returns home in an attempt to knock off the ACC's top team in Virginia.

The Cardinals dug themselves into a 10-0 hole right out of the gates against the Hurricanes, but that was the only time all game that Louisville didn't look competitive. They shot 57.9 percent from the field, but still allowed the Canes to shoot 53.4 percent while turning the ball over 12 times, resulting in a close 93-85 loss in Coral Gables.

As for the Cavaliers, they have firmly planted themselves as the top team in the ACC. Not only are the highest-ranked team in the conference as No. 7 in the AP Top 25, but are currently atop the league standings, although by a razor thin margin. The Hoos have won nine of their last ten games, including a controversial 69-62 overtime win against Duke in their last time out.

This will be the 26th all-time meeting between Louisville and Virginia, with the Cavaliers holding a 20-5 series advantage. These two teams last faced on Mar. 9, 2022 in the second round of the ACC Tournament, with Virginia winning 51-50 to put an end to Louisville's 2021-22 season.
