LOUISVILLE, Ky. - After needing overtime and several dozen free throws to dispatch New Mexico State and get back in the win column, the Louisville men's basketball program's next outing has them face off against a crosstown foe, as Bellarmine will be making a return to the KFC Yum! Center.

Trailing by eight points in the last minute-plus, the Cardinals were able to fire off a quick 8-0 run to force overtime against the Aggies, where they eventually captured a 90-84 win. Despite shooting 44.6 percent from the field and allowing NMSU to shoot 58.3, UofL's work at the free throw line proved to be the difference, as they went 36-of-49 for the game and 15-of-19 in overtime at the charity stripe.

As for the Knights, it has been a bit of a rough season in Scott Davenport's 19th year as the head coach and Bellarmine's fourth season at the D1 level. Bellarmine has lost all three of their games against power conference foes by an average margin of 15.3 points, and just one of their two wins has come against D1 competition, an 85-67 win at Bowling Green.

This will be the 14th all-time meeting between Louisville and Bellarmine, with the Cardinals owning a 12-1 advantage. The lone win by Knights came in last season's opener, with the Kenny Payne era at Louisville kicking off with a 67-66 loss.
