Watch: Kenny Payne, Louisville Players Preview NC State

The Cardinals return home to face the Wolfpack after snapping their three-game skid and 22-game losing streak on the road.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville men's basketball program is returning home with a little bit of momentum on their side.

Facing Miami this past Wednesday, the Cardinals were finally able to snap their three-game losing streak, stunning the Hurricanes 80-71. It not only marked the first win in a true road game under head coach Kenny Payne, who was previously 0-14 in such contests, but snapped a lengthy 22-game true road game losing streak for Louisville.

Of course, life in the ACC never gets any easier. Louisville's next outing has them playing host to NC State, who despite being 11-4, will be looking to rebound following their decisive home loss to North Carolina.

"The first thing is know that you're playing a team that's a very good team, as well as probably one of the most physical teams that we've played," head coach Kenny Payne said of NC State. "They are tough, they play with energy, they're very good and transition. They have a big guy that everybody is trapping no matter where he's catching it, and we have to deal with him. But we have tasted what it feels like to fight in a situation where you're not, from the outside looking in, supposed to win. Well, let's build on that."

Prior to their matchup with the Wolfpack, Payne, guard Skyy Clark and forward Danilo Jovanovich took time to meet with the media. They discussed the previous matchup at Miami, what that win did for the team and their confidence, previewed the upcoming showdown vs. NC State, and more.
