Louisville Opens as 11-Point Home Favorite vs. Boston College

In this story:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - After holding off Indiana just long enough to remain undefeated early in the 2023 season, oddsmakers are liking the Louisville football program to continue this mark when they return home to L&N Stadium and host Boston College.
According to Circa Sports, the Cardinals have opened up as a -11.0 point favorite over the visiting Eagles. The over/under has been set at 55.5.
Off to their best start since 2016, Louisville (3-0, 1-0 ACC) had to hold on for dear life in their last time out against the Hoosiers. The Cardinals got off to a 21-0 advantage at halftime, but struggled in the second half, allowing a pair of IU touchdowns in the third quarter. In the game's final minutes, Louisville was able to muster a goal line stop to prevent overtime and secure their first ever win over Indiana.
As for the Eagles (1-2, 0-1 ACC), it has been a rocky start to their season, but they almost were able to pull off a massive upset in their most recent game. They fell to Northern Illinois in their opener, had to hold off FCS foe Holy Cross in week two, but came incredibly close to knocking off No. 3 Florida State before eventually losing 31-29. Had it not been for a school-record 18 penalties, they might have been able to pull it off.
Both Louisville and Boston College are 1-2 against-the-spread so far this season. The Cardinals failed to cover vs. Georgia Tech (-7.0) and vs. Indiana (-10.0), but did so vs. Murray State (-43.5). The Eagles were unable to cover vs. Northern Illinois (-8.0) and Holy Cross (-10.0), but were able to do so against Florida State (+25.5).
Kickoff vs. Boston College is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23 at 3:30 p.m. EST.
