Louisville OC Bryan Hudson Named to Preseason All-ACC Team

In this story:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - One day removed being voted to finish eighth in the Atlantic Coast Conference race according to a preseason poll of 176 media member across the league, the Louisville football program received more preseason recognition from the conference.
The ACC announced their 27-member 2023 All-ACC Preseason Football Team on Wednesday, with center Bryan Hudson being the lone Cardinal to be named.
Hudson has already received plenty of recognition this preseason. He was named a preseason First-Team All-ACC selection from both Athlon Sports and Phil Steele, while also getting named to the preseason watch list for the Outland Trophy earlier this week.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pound center was the anchor of one of the more underrated offensive lines in the ACC. With a Pro Football Focus grade of 76.9, he was the third-highest rated offensive lineman in the ACC, and the league's second-highest rated center behind NC State's Grant Gibson. Allowing only 14 pressures all season out of 462 pass block snaps and 914 total offensive snaps, Hudson was tabbed as a Second-Team All-ACC selection.
Last season, Louisville went 7-5 during the regular season, then followed that up with a 24-7 win over rival Cincinnati in the Fenway Bowl. Following the departure of head coach Scott Satterfield to the Bearcats, Jeff Brohm left Purdue to take over his alma mater
Louisville will begin the 2023 season with a conference matchup, traveling down to Atlanta, Ga. for a matchup vs. Georgia Tech in the Aflac Kickoff Game. Kickoff is scheduled for for Friday, Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m.
