LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville football program has been incredibly active in the portal since the winter transfer window opened up early last week, and now they're starting to focus on bolstering their wide receiver position for next season.

Former Alabama wide receiver Ja'Corey Brooks and former South Alabama wide receiver Caullin Lacy are both expected to visit the Cardinals this week, according to On3's Pete Nakos. Brooks will arrive on Thursday for an official visit, while Lacy will do so on Friday.

Brooks was limited to just three catches for 30 yards in nine games with the Crimson Tide this past season due to a shoulder injury, but has proven himself in the past to be a valuable asset. Last season, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound former five-star recruit hauled in 39 receptions for 674 yards and team-best eight touchdowns for the Tide.

As for Lacy, he is coming off an extremely prolific 2023 campaign. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound receiver's 91 receptions for 1,316 yards were good for fifth and sixth in the FBS, respectively, while also hauling in seven touchdowns. In four years with the Jaguars, he has caught 207 passes for 2,517 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Like head coach Jeff Brohm's last go-round in the transfer portal, the Cardinals have done exceptionally in terms of bringing in talent while also making sure talent doesn't transfer out. With five transfer commitments and nine scholarship portal defections, Louisville currently has the No. 1 portal class in football as of Dec. 14, according to On3.

Louisville will conclude their 2023 season later this month with a matchup against USC in the Holiday Bowl. Kickoff against the Trojans is set for Wednesday, Dec. 27 at 8:00 p.m. EST from Petco Park in San Diego, Calif.
