Cards in the NFL: 2023 Week 5

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Week 5 of the National Football League's 2023 season is almost complete, and former Louisville Cardinals continue to make significant impacts across the league. 13 former Cards have made it to active NFL rosters so far this season, with almost all of them contributing on a weekly basis.

Here are how former Cardinals fared in Week 5 of the 2023 NFL season:

Yasir Abdullah

Position: Linebacker
Team: Jacksonville Jaguars
Years at UofL: 2018-22

Weeks 1-3: Subbed for no stats.
Week 4 (vs. Falcons): Subbed for one solo tackle.
Week 5 (at Bills): Subbed for one QB hit.

Season (Five games, zero starts): One solo tackle, one QB hit.

Jaire Alexander

Position: Cornerback
Team: Green Bay Packers
Years at UofL: 2015-17

Week 1 (at Bears): Started for three solo tackles and one pass defense.
Week 2 (at Falcons): Started for five solo tackles and one pass defense.
Weeks 3-4: Inactive (back).
Week 5 (at Raiders): Kickoff set for Monday, Oct. 9 at 8:15 p.m. on ESPN.

Season (Two games, two starts): Eight solo tackles and two pass defenses.

Tutu Atwell

Position: Wide Receiver
Team: Los Angeles Rams
Years at UofL: 2018-20

Week 1 (at Seahawks): Started for six receptions on eight targets for 119 yards.
Week 2 (vs. 49ers): Started for seven receptions on nine targets for 77 yards; one rush for five yards.
Week 3 (at Bengals): Started for four receptions on nine targets for 50 yards and one touchdown; one rush for 22 yards.
Week 4 (at Colts): Started for five receptions on nine targets for 24 yards.
Week 5 (vs. Eagles): Started for two receptions on five targets for nine yards and one touchdown.

Season (Five games, five starts): 24 receptions on 40 targets for 279 yards and one touchdown; two rushes for 27 yards.

Mekhi Becton

Position: Offensive Tackle
Team: New York Jets
Years at UofL: 2017-19

Week 1 (vs. Bills): Started at tackle.
Week 2 (at Cowboys): Started at tackle.
Week 3 (vs. Patriots): Started at tackle.
Week 4 (vs. Chiefs): Started at tackle.
Week 5 (at Broncos): Started at tackle.

Season: Five games, five starts.

Teddy Bridgewater

Position: Quarterback
Team: Detroit Lions
Years at UofL: 2011-13

Weeks 1-4: Did not play.
Week 5 (vs. Panthers): Subbed for two rushes times for minus-two yards

Season (One game, zero starts): Two rushes for minus-two yards.

Kei'Trel Clark

Position: Cornerback
Team: Arizona Cardinals
Years at UofL: 2020-22

Week 1 (at Commanders): Started for three solo tackles.
Week 2 (vs. Giants): Started for five solo tackles and two pass defenses.
Week 3 (vs. Cowboys): Started for 10 tackles (8 solo) and two pass defenses.

Jonathan Greenard

Week 4 (at Browns): Started for 15-19 passing for 186 yards and two touchdowns; nine rushes for 27 yards, two touchdowns and one lost fumble.
Week 5 (at Steelers): Started for 22-38 passing for 236 yards and one interception; six rushes for 45 yards and one lost fumble.

DeVante Parker
