Louisville Football officially announces addition of CB Kei'Trel Clark & WR Roscoe Johnson

Former Liberty cornerback Kei'Trel Clark & former UNC wide receiver Roscoe Johnson are now officially Louisville Cardinals.

The University of Louisville football program has officially announced the additional of transfers Kei'Trel Clark & Roscoe Johnson, as they have both signed to play for the Cardinals according to the University.

Clark had a successful 2019 season with the Liberty Flames and eventually worked his way into a starter's role as a freshman. The 5-foot-10 & 165 pound cornerback played in all 13 games, collecting 38 tackles (33 solo), 3.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack and 6 pass break ups.

However he opted to enter the transfer portal back on June 22 due to the "cultural incompetent within multiple level of leadership" at the university that did not "line up with my code of ethics". He announced his commitment to Louisville back on July 10 after it had been rumored he was set to join West Virginia, and has three years of eligibility remaining.

Unlike Clark who will need a waiver to play in 2020, Johnson is joining the Cardinals as a graduate transfer and will be immediately eligible to play. It was first reported on Sunday by 247Sports that he would be joining the team this week.

The 6-foot-1 & 190-pound wide receiver played three seasons for the North Carolina Tar Heels, tallying 14 receptions for 157 yards during that time. Last season he was used primarily in a special teams role, as he recorded just two catches for 39 yards, all of which came in a 41-10 victory over NC State.
