Watch: Louisville Head Coach Jeff Brohm Provides Team Update

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - We might be deep into the offseason, but the return of college football - and the start of the Jeff Brohm era at Louisville - is closer than you think.
Spring ball for the Cardinals wrapped up roughly a month and a half ago, and their 2023 season opener against Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Ga. is only 87 days away. Recently, many newcomers for Louisville - whether they be transfers or freshman - moved into their new dorms, and the bulk of players overall are back on campus for summer workouts.
"Our guys started back in school this past week, so they're all back," Brohm said. "We get to get around them a little bit, and meet with them, go over football, go on the field with them a little bit within certain rules. Some new players, which I think are great to see out there.
"We want to continue to build a football team and improve each and every week. I think our guys are really working hard to this point. We just got to make sure we stay on it, and that we cover everything we need to before the first practice."
Despite spring practice ending back in late April, Louisville has still seen plenty of roster movement via the transfer portal since then. Eight Cards entered the portal following the spring game on Apr. 21, but Brohm and Co. have landed 12 transfers during that time, and addressed several team needs in the process.
"For sure, on paper, we've made a lot of strides," Brohm said. "We've made some new additions that we think can help our football team, and be a big part of helping us find a way to win. You'll never know for sure until they get here, what exactly they can do and how they will fit in. But to this point, I think we have brought in some good young men that are good teammates, that are going to work hard, that are going to want to do their part to build this program."
Following a forum at the Frazier Museum, Brohm took time to meet with the media. He discussed his family and their influence on him coming back to Louisville, the roster improvements after spring, quarterback Jack Plummer, various positions on the roster and more.
