LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville defensive linemen Jeffery Clark and Rodney McGraw have both entered their names into the transfer portal, they announced Friday on social media.

"THANK YOU CARD NATION FOR EVERYTHING," Clark said on Twitter. McGraw added on Twitter that he would "bet my last on me."

The Cardinals have now had five players enter the transfer portal following their loss to USC in the Holiday Bowl, along with linebacker Keith Brown, offensive tackle Vincent Lumia and wide receiver Ahmari Huggins-Bruce. 14 scholarship players have opted to transfer overall in this cycle.

Both Clark and McGraw joined Louisville as transfer last offseason. Clark spent the first four years of his collegiate career at Georgia State, while McGraw played for Penn State for his first two seasons.

Clark's lone season as a Cardinal was spent as a rotational piece in the middle of the defensive line. The 6-foot, 290-pound defensive tackle played in all 14 games and logged 316 snaps, collecting 14 total tackles and two for loss in the process.

The Powder Springs, Ga. native was incredibly productive during his time at Georgia State, amassing 19.5 tackles for loss, 9.0 sacks and 92 total tackles in 33 games and 13 starts as a Panthers. Clark's final season in Atlanta saw him finish with 39 tackles and 9.5 for loss, 4.5 sacks.

As for McGraw, he barely saw the field this season. The 6-foot-6, 260-pound defensive tackle played just three defensive snaps against Murray State, 18 special teams snaps across five games, and logged no stats in the process.

The Chicago native didn't log much playing time at Penn State, either. After redshirting his true freshman season in 2021, McGraw saw action in five games the next season, but played just 12 defensive snaps and recorded only a single tackle against Central Michigan.

Dec. 4 marked the first day of college football’s 30-day winter transfer portal window. Players have until Jan. 2, 2024 to enter the portal for their permitted one-time transfer under current NCAA guidelines.

While both players are now two-time transfers, they will be eligible to play immediately at their next destinations. Earlier this month, the NCAA adopted legislation that would allow multi-time transfers who transfer before the end of the 2023-24 academic calendar to be immediately eligible for next season.

The Cardinals finished their 2023 season with an overall mark of 10-4 (7-1 in ACC) including a berth in the program's first ever ACC Championship Game, but ended year one under head coach Jeff Brohm on a three-game losing streak.
