'24 CB Rae'mon Mosby Commits to Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville football program is celebrating the Fourth of July with some fireworks out on the recruiting trail.
Rae'mon Mosby, a cornerback who hails from Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake, announced Tuesday that he has given his verbal pledge to the Cardinals. He chose Louisville over finalists Cincinnati, Duke, Georgia Tech, East Carolina, Mississippi State, Indiana, Tulane, and West Virginia.
Mosby was originally offered by Louisville by the previous staff, but Jeff Brohm and his staff quickly took an interest to him once he took over as the head coach. Mosby was re-offered in January, took an unofficial visit in April, and had been in the process of setting up an official visit before committing.
The 6-foot-0, 175-pound defensive back ranks as high as the No. 56 corner in the cycle and the No. 71 recruit in the talent-rich Peach State according to ESPN. By the 247Sports Composite, Mosby is regarded as the No. 926 prospect in the Class of 2024.
After spending his first two years in high school at Marrero (La.) John Ehret before moving to Georgia, Mosby was key piece to Westlake's success as a junior in 2022. He collected 19 tackles and multiple PBU's, according to MaxPreps, helping the Lions go 9-4 with a berth in the Georgia Class 7A quarterfinals before falling to eventual state champion Mill Creek.
Mosby has also made waves on the offseason recruiting circuit. Back in April, he was named the Defensive Back MVP for the Rivals Camp Series' stop in Atlanta.
Louisville now sports a 13-man 2024 recruiting class with Mosby's commitment. He is the third defensive back to commit, joining safeties Jaiden Spearman and Jathan Hatch, and the fifth defender overall, joining linebackers T.J. Capers and Trent Carter.
