Louisville Football's Top Remaining Class of 2024 Targets

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - On the heels of signing one of their best recruiting classes in school history, the Louisville football program is primed to try and do it again in the Class of 2024. So far in the first full recruiting cycle under new head coach Jeff Brohm, the Cardinals boast a 2024 class that ranks as high as the No. 19 class in the nation according to On3.
On top of the hot start out on the recruiting trail for this cycle, Louisville is still in the mix for a plethora of blue chip talent. Like last offseason, the Cardinals' recruiting momentum has the potential to last all the way through the summer and up until the early signing period.
With seven commitments currently in the fold, who else are the Cards targeting? Below are some of Louisville's top remaining current targets in the 2024 cycle, listed alphabetically by last name:
Jadan Baugh
Position: Running Back/Linebacker
Vitals: 6-foot-1, 214 pounds
School: Decatur (Ga.) Columbia
Top Offers: Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas
247Sports Composite Rating (Nat'l Rank): 0.8867 (468th)
Quick Note: Where can't Baugh play? On top of the two aforementioned positions, he also took snaps at quarterback, wide receiver, cornerback and safety. Louisville recently made his top six, along with Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech.
K.J. Bolden
Position: Safety
Vitals: 6-foot-1, 185 pounds
School: Buford (Ga.) HS
Top Offers: Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State
247Sports Composite Rating (Nat'l Rank): 0.9957 (9th)
Quick Note: Bolden was one of several dozen prospects to visit Louisville during their spring game. Considering most of the top programs in college football are after him, simply getting him on campus is a massive plus in this recruitment.
Rahshawn Clark
Position: Cornerback/Wide Receiver
Vitals: 6-foot, 180 pounds
School: Federal Way (Wash.) HS
Top Offers: Michigan State, Oregon, Oregon State, Utah, Washington
247Sports Composite Rating (Nat'l Rank): 0.8797 (585th)
Quick Note: Louisville hosted Clark - and top-60 7-on-7 teammate RB Jason Brown - for a spring practice visit, and the Cardinals seem to be in good shape because of it. It'll be tough to pull him away from the west coast, as four of his top six schools are in the Pac-12, but UofL has a real shot.
Jalyn Crawford
Position: Cornerback
Vitals: 6-foot, 180 pounds
School: Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview
Top Offers: Auburn, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Michigan
247Sports Composite Rating (Nat'l Rank): 0.9382 (141st)
Quick Note: The Cardinals recently cracked his top eleven schools, but he might be bound for the SEC. Auburn and LSU are the co-leaders in the clubhouse here, and Florida is deep in the mix as well.
Jerrae Hawkins
Position: Wide Receiver
Vitals: 5-foot-9, 165 pounds
School: Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy
Top Offers: Florida, Miami, Penn State, West Virginia, Wisconsin
247Sports Composite Rating (Nat'l Rank): 0.9242 (201st)
Quick Note: Louisville made his top six when he released it in March, now they just need to get him on campus for a visit. He currently has summer official visits lined up with Penn State, Florida and West Virginia.
Brauntae "Tae Tae" Johnson
Position: Cornerback/Wide Receiver
Vitals: 6-foot-3, 170 pounds
School: Fort Wayne (Ind.) North Side
Top Offers: Auburn, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Penn State, Washington
247Sports Composite Rating (Nat'l Rank): 0.9355 (149th)
Quick Note: It'll be tough to land a recruit from out of Notre Dame's backyard, but Louisville certainly has a chance. The current coaching staff has had a relationship with Johnson since they were at Purdue. The Cardinals made his top ten last month.
James Madison II
Position: Wide Receiver
Vitals: 6-foot-3, 190 pounds
School: Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas
Top Offers: Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan
247Sports Composite Rating (Nat'l Rank): 0.9081 (285th)
Quick Note: Florida State seems to be making the biggest push here, but don't count Louisville out. They made his top five last month after not previously making his top ten, and were able to host him for a visit during spring ball.
Christian Peterson
Position: Cornerback/Safety
Vitals: 5-foot-10, 175 pounds
School: Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake
Top Offers: Auburn, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, Ole Miss
247Sports Composite Rating (Nat'l Rank): 0.8869 (467th)
Quick Note: Peterson was another prospect who was able to watch Louisville's spring game in person. Auburn seems to be the school to beat out of his top eight, with current cornerbacks coach Steve Ellis recruiting against former secondary coach Wes McGriff here.
Daylen Russell
Position: Defensive Lineman
Vitals: 6-foot-1, 235 pounds
School: Miami (Fla.) Columbus
Top Offers: Florida State, Miami, Nebraska, UCF, West Virginia
247Sports Composite Rating (Nat'l Rank): 0.8559 (1,020th)
Quick Note: It's down to Louisville, Miami and Nebraska to land Russell. One advantage that the Cardinals have over the other two is that he is a high school teammate of Louisville linebacker commit T.J. Capers.
Aaron Scott Jr.
Position: Cornerback
Vitals: 6-foot, 170 pounds
School: Springfield (Oh.) HS
Top Offers: Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, USC
247Sports Composite Rating (Nat'l Rank): 0.9664 (60th)
Quick Note: Louisville made his top 11 when he released it on Easter, but this is a recruitment where they would have to make up a ton of ground to pull it off. Ohio State is the clear leader here, with Michigan, Oregon and Kentucky right behind them.
Joseph "JoJo" Stone
Position: Wide Receiver
Vitals: 5-foot-11, 180 pounds
School: Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes
Top Offers: Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Tennessee
247Sports Composite Rating (Nat'l Rank): 0.9143 (243rd)
Quick Note: Last cycle, it was Oregon cornerback commit Cole Martin that Pierce Clarkson was working to flip. This cycle, it appears his flip target is Stone, who is committed to LSU. He recently took a visit, and has family ties to the area, as his father is from Louisville.
Marcelles Williams
Position: Cornerback
Vitals: 5-foot-11, 179 pounds
School: Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco
Top Offers: Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas, USC
247Sports Composite Rating (Nat'l Rank): 0.9614 (71st)
Quick Note: Could the St. John Bosco pipeline continue into the 2024 cycle? It could. Louisville made his top 12 back in March, and he has made a couple visits to campus, including the spring game last month.
