Louisville OL Vincent Lumia Enters Transfer Portal

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville offensive lineman Vincent Lumia has entered his name into the transfer portal, he announced late Thursday night on social media.
"Appreciative of Louisville for the opportunity and all the brothers I made within such a short period of time," Lumia said in a graphic posted to Twitter.
Lumia is the second Louisville player to enter the portal following their loss to USC in the Holiday Bowl, along with linebacker Keith Brown. He is also the second scholarship offensive lineman to enter the portal after Izaiah Reed, and the 11th Cardinal overall.
The 6-foot-2, 295-pound offensive tackle joined Louisville last offseason as a transfer from Duquesne, but failed to crack the main offensive line rotation. He saw action in just one game all season, playing only 17 snaps in garbage time against Murray State.
The Riviera Beach, Fla. native spent the first four years of his college career with Duquesne, where he was an All-Northeast Conference selection in his last two seasons. In 2022, Lumia started all eleven games for the Dukes, and was their highest rated offensive lineman with a grade of 77.2, according to Pro Football Focus.
Dec. 4 marked the first day of college football’s 30-day winter transfer portal window. Players have until Jan. 2, 2024 to enter the portal for their permitted one-time transfer under current NCAA guidelines.
While Lumia is now a two-time transfer, he will be eligible to play immediately at his next destination. Earlier this month, the NCAA adopted legislation that would allow multi-time transfers who transfer before the end of the 2023-24 academic calendar to be immediately eligible for next season.
The Cardinals finished their 2023 season with an overall mark of 10-4 (7-1 in ACC) including a berth in the program's first ever ACC Championship Game, but ended year one under head coach Jeff Brohm on a three-game losing streak.
