In the midst of an offseason chock full of turnover, add Eamonn Dennis to the growing list of players who are leaving Ann Arbor. On Monday, Dennis announced on his Instagram profile that is entering the transfer portal and thanks everyone for his time in Ann Arbor, which included a National Championship victory.

“I want to begin by expressing my gratitude to God for guiding me since the age of six when I first stepped onto the field. The opportunity to play in front of millions of people has always been a cherished dream, one that Michigan made happen.”

“I want to extend my appreciation to Coach Harbaugh, Coach Moore, Coach Herb, and the entire coaching staff for their unwavering support and mentorship. To my teammates, who have become brothers, thank you for the lifelong memories. Being a Michigan man has taught me lessons that will resonate throughout my lifetime.”

“Having completed my studies at UMICH in an accelerated 3.5 years and still holding two years of eligibility, after sincere reflection and heartfelt discussions with my family, I’ve made the decision to explore new opportunities through the transfer portal.”

“Thank you to everyone who helped me throughout my journey & forever GO BLUE!”

During his time at Michigan, the 5-10, 188-pound wide receiver earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2021, so his accelerated course schedule tracks. After another year of hard work, Dennis shared Most Improved Player on Special teams honors in 2022 as well.

Prior to arriving in Ann Arbor, Dennis was ranked as a three-star athlete on 247Sports.co. Dennis hails from Massachusetts and held scholarship offers from Duke, Georgia Tech, Connecticut and Iowa, though it is unclear where he will end up this fall.
