ESPN Says Michigan Football Is The Best Landing Spot For Top Transfer
There may not be much college football to watch at the moment, but between early signing day approaching and waves of the transfer portal -- there is plenty of action surrounding college football.
Michigan is currently in on several transfers and some of them have made trips to Ann Arbor to check out the facilities.
One name to keep an eye on is Detroit native, Dante Moore. Moore, who played one season out west at UCLA, entered the portal and is one of the hottest commodities at the moment. Between the potential he has and his age -- will just be a sophomore -- teams are lining up trying to bring him onto their campus.
ESPN recently came up with the best fits for the top 10 quarterbacks on the market and Moore was No. 2 on the list.

Why Moore fits here: Moore is likely at the top of a lot of people's boards because of his upside, eligibility and flashes he showed this fall at UCLA. Going to Michigan makes sense for Moore, a Detroit native, who would get to go back home and compete for a championship every year during his remaining eligibility. He's not quite the same runner, but as a passer, he has a lot of the same traits Jayden Daniels possesses.
The notion surrounding Moore is that he doesn't have to start right away at whichever school he goes to. Obviously, if he picked Michigan, that would come down to if J.J. McCarthy returned for a senior year or not.
If McCarthy returned, it would be a win-win for everyone involved. Moore can sit a year behind McCarthy, learn the system, and get great coaching in Ann Arbor. But, if McCarthy opted to enter the NFL, then we would all assume Moore would become the starter in Ann Arbor year one.
Moore had an up-and-down year with the Bruins. He played in nine games and eventually went to second string. He threw for 1,610 yards, 11 touchdowns, and nine interceptions during his true freshman year.
There appears to be heavy interest in Oregon from the Moore's side of things. He originally committed to Oregon before enrolling with UCLA. The Ducks obviously interest him and if the Wolverines are going to pull Moore into the fold -- they will need to beat out Oregon.
