Second Interview With Los Angeles Chargers Coming Up For Jim Harbaugh

Jim Harbaugh has been busy chatting with NFL teams since winning a national title at Michigan.

Jim Harbaugh definitely wants to go back to the NFL. It's been the case for the past three off seasons and this one is no different.

And that's okay.

Harbaugh has done all he can at Michigan in terms of a coaching checklist. He has dominated Michigan State, he has won three in a row against Ohio State, he has brought home three straight Big Ten titles and now he has a National Championship trophy in the case. He could obviously return and continue the success, but he literally cannot do anything new.

Because of that, going back to the NFL now makes a lot of sense. Of course, it's not up to Harbaugh — a team has to offer him a job — but he seems ready to be back in the pros. The place that makes the most sense for him is Los Angeles. Harbaugh has a lot of roots in California, he played for the Chargers at the tail end of his career and knows ownership well and, the Bolts have a young, star quarterback in Justin Herbert. Harbaugh has already met with the Chargers once and, per ESPN's Adam Schefter, he's about to meet with them again.

If I'm the Chargers, I offer Harbaugh a job. The way the team is currently constructed is perfect for Harbaugh to take over. With Herbert, several high-level weapons on offense in guys like Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, a talent-laden defense that just needs some direction and the No. 5 overall pick in the upcoming draft, Harbaugh would likley have the Chargers competitive in no time.
