Desmond Howard Takes Shot At Pete Thamel

In this story:
The Game has a tendency to reveal one's true colors. National analysts who attempt to remain objective simply are not on this day. Urban Meyer openly tweets "Go Bucks" without hesitation while ESPN analysts seem to go out of their way to take shots at Michigan. Rece Davis, who is usually right down the middle, has referred to Michigan as the "cheaters and best" amid the sign-stealing allegations. Heather Dinich has essentially suggested that Michigan's program be folded up. Paul Finebaum....goodness. We all know about him at this point. And Pete Thamel has also been bashing the Wolverines whenever he can.
Desmond Howard, on the other hand, has been supportive of his alma mater and has tried to bring some balance to a network that clearly has an axe to grind, biased as he may be. He even went so far as to take a shot at Thamel today during the Gameday broadcast.

It is pretty funny that Thamel decided to take shelter after running his mouth for the last month. He had a chance to stand out, head high and speak his truth. Instead, he chose to hide somewhere inside Michigan Stadium to avoid any (deserved) backlash.
Howard will probably be reprimanded because he's clearly not toeing the company line. With Big Ten teams essentially no longer playing on ESPN, the network has been very slanted all year, even more than normal. ESPN has always been a water carrier for the SEC and it's even worse this year. So much so, that Howard couldn't take it anymore and blasted a coworker on live television. I guess it's time to play The Game.
