In this story:

The 2024 Michigan football class has lost some luster recently after losing a couple of commits, a couple more are predicted to land elsewhere, and the Wolverines have lost out on multiple big targets to rival schools.

But the Wolverines are still standing strong with 27 commits in the '24 cycle and Michigan currently has the No. 7 class.

A few of those commitments had really strong opening games during the start of high school football.

Jadyn Davis:

The once five-star prospect is now a four-star on all four recruiting services. But the Charlotte (NC) Providence Day School quarterback is quickly showing the 'experts' that he is much better than the 66th-ranked prospect in the country -- according to the Composite.

On Friday night, Davis connected on 24-of-28 passes for 456 yards and five touchdown passes. Here are some videos of Davis, via The Wolverine's EJ Holland who attended the game.

The first video shows Davis hitting North Carolina commit, Jordan Shipp.

Davis finds a man wide open for a touchdown.

Davis puts another one right in Shipp's hands -- a dime.

Channing Goodwin:

There is a good chance Goodwin's stock rises this season since he plays on the same team as Jadyn Davis. Goodwin is currently a three-star recruit and the 556th-ranked prospect in the 2024 class, according to the Composite.

The 6-foot-1 wide receiver had a really good start to the season -- like his QB Davis.

Goodwin caught for 150 yards and two touchdowns on Friday evening.

Goodwin is seen catching a ball for over 20 yards from Davis.

The play of the night goes to Goodwin who catches a ball and takes it 80 yards for a touchdown.

The third video shows Davis hitting Goodwin for his second touchdown of the evening.

Jordan Marshall:

One of the biggest gets for Michigan in the 2024 cycle is Cincinnati (OH) Archbishop Moeller running back, Jordan Marshall. He chose Michigan over the in-state Buckeyes.

Marshall is a four-star and ranked No. 74 in the entire class, according to the Composite. Moeller lost on Friday evening, but Marshall had a great game.

He ran for 126 yards on 19 attempts and scored three times on the ground for Moeller.

The Michigan Insider's Brice Marich was at the game and here is a video of Marshall taking the first carry of the game to the house for a touchdown.
